The synergistic style of DJ inspired acoustic tunes might be fresh to the scene, but the fundamentals always have a story. I grew up in San Francisco with North Beach Jazz Clubs, The Fillmore Auditorium my favorite haunts. The hot desert of Barstow, CA was my next home where Chuck Berry, The Beach Boys, Little Richard, Elvis and Buddy Holly were my musical idols. Not far from the Sunset Strip I was able to catch The Doors and Eric Burdon and War. The Beatles and the British invasion were the soundtrack to my life. From High School Gym dances to Wolfman Jack on XERB, Del Rio, Texas, music was always on my mind. From that point on, I was hooked and submersed myself in music, music review and information
This blog is dedicated to Music in Merida, Yucatan. Our music reviews are on any genre of music, anyplace in Mexico, with an emphasis on Merida. There are two simple criteria for review in this blog: 1.I and my staff like it and 2. the music is worth sharing with the public we think will also find it entertaining.
We will review any music, from the humblest street busker to the symphony concert Hall. Our readers will not find a totally negative review here. If we find value in a performance, we will review it. If we don’t find value, you won’t read about it here.

We believe that music is among the best universal means of communication, whether between the players or between the player(s) and their audience. We further firmly believe that the understanding of other culture’s music helps erode the prejudicial aspect of stagnant musical forms. In other words, fusion is beneficial to human growth and essential to our future.
